  • Stainless-steel vessel design
  • Automated SIP-capable systems
  • CIP depending on project scope
  • Typically 2–50 L, sometimes up to 100 L

Production Bioreactors

100 L – 10,000 L+ | Production trains and sterile transfer

Start here if you need production capacity or a complete reactor train.

  • Stainless-steel vessel design
  • CIP/SIP-capable including transfer lines
  • Complete seed-to-production trains
  • Optional automated transfer sequences

Retrofit Bioreactors

Existing systems | Modern xCUBIO automation upgrade

For modernizing installed bioreactors with outdated controls – without unnecessary replacement of proven vessels, piping and hardware.

Start here if your existing bioreactor is mechanically valuable but needs modern automation.

  • Modern xCUBIO automation
  • Reuse of proven vessel and hardware
  • New sensors, pumps and extensions
  • Integration into one updated control environment

Photobioreactors

Lab to production scale | Phototrophic cultivation systems

For algae and phototrophic processes requiring defined light, specialized reactor concepts and automation beyond standard stirred vessels.

Start here if your process depends on controlled light, phototrophic growth or algae-specific cultivation conditions.

  • Lab, pilot and production-scale
  • Specialized PBR concepts beyond standard vessels
  • Advanced illumination strategies
  • xCUBIO automation for phototrophic processes

Bioreactor Sampling

Sterile sampling | Automated dispensing, filtration and storage

For automated, sterile and reproducible sampling from bioreactors – with reliable sample handling for glass, stainless-steel and disposable systems.

Start here if you need defined sampling routines, reduced manual intervention or reproducible sampling

  • Automated and reproducible
  • For glass, stainless-steel and disposable systems
  • Automated dispensing and filtration
  • Filtered, cooled or chilled sample storage

Accessories & Spare Parts

Accessories and Wear Parts | Service and Support

For keeping installed bioreactors running, maintained and extendable – with accessories, spare parts, wear parts and technical support from bbi-biotech.

Start here if you need spare parts, accessories, system support or upgrade options for an existing bioreactor setup.

  • Manufacturer-independent
  • Broad range of accessories and spare parts
  • Wear parts and maintenance for running systems
  • Support for upgrades and extensions

Why bbi-biotech

For many teams, standard equipment is not enough. That is where bbi-biotech excels.

We adapt the system to the process – not the process to the system

When standard platforms do not fit the real process, bbi-biotech offers more freedom in system design, vessel selection, interfaces and automation. The result is a solution built around the application, not around the limitations of a fixed product package.

One automation from benchtop to scale-up

Instead of different control concepts for different sizes, xCUBIO provides one shared automation foundation across the portfolio. This improves transferability, reduces friction in operation and training, and makes scale-up more consistent.

Retrofit expertise for existing installations

Valuable bioreactors do not have to be replaced just because existing automation has become outdated or unreliable. bbi-biotech modernizes installed systems with technical depth, practical judgment and real respect for the value of existing equipment.

Automated sterile sampling as a system capability

With bioPROBE and matching autosamplers, bbi-biotech offers automated sterile sampling for bioprocess environments where reproducibility, reduced manual intervention and reliable sample handling matter.

No compromises when it comes to sterility

For many applications, sterility is not just one requirement among many, but the condition everything else depends on. bbi-biotech designs systems, assemblies and process solutions with a clear focus on reliable sterile operation.

Long-term reliable bioreactor service & support

Service, spare parts, retrofit and new systems work together at bbi-biotech. The result is support that does not end with delivery, but remains relevant throughout operation, expansion and technical development.

Where technical credibility becomes tangible

References, project examples and real implementations show how broadly, how practically and how application-close bbi-biotech operates across both new and existing bioprocess environments.
