Baffles and baffle cages
Baffles are installed inside vessels to prevent the rotation of the entire reactor content during the process, that can be caused by lethargy of the medium. While they enable better mass transfer and oxygenation at low stirrer speeds, they prevent the formation of liquid flow streams at high speeds. No baffles are required for vessel size 0,5 L, due to the components of the lid acting as a sufficient baffle.
